Why would a team choose to run its next workload on OVHcloud?

You can Buy OVHcloud Account access through AllCloudShop and land inside one of the largest European-owned cloud platforms, a company that designs its own servers, runs its own data centers and answers to French and EU law rather than to a parent company overseas.

When people Buy OVHcloud Account Online from us, they are usually after one of three things: a working OVHcloud Public Cloud project with a usable compute quota, a route to OVHcloud VPS or Bare Metal ranges without setting up a fresh customer identity themselves, or a specific capability such as outbound mail on port 25 that the default configuration does not provide.

OVHcloud is an unusual provider. It started in 1999 as a hosting company in Roubaix, in the north of France, and it grew into a group that builds servers in its own factory, water-cools them in racks it engineered itself, and operates dozens of sites across Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.

Its Public Cloud is built on OpenStack, which means the compute, block storage and networking layers speak an open API that Terraform, Ansible and the standard openstack CLI already understand. Alongside that sit the VPS range, the Bare Metal dedicated server catalogue, Hosted Private Cloud on VMware, and the Web Cloud line for domains, email and shared hosting.

That breadth is the reason a single OVHcloud identity is worth having. One customer account can hold Public Cloud projects, dedicated servers and VMware clusters, all wired together over the vRack private network and all billed through the same OVHcloud Control Panel. Buyers who want to Buy Verified OVHcloud Account access typically mean an account that has already been through OVHcloud's normal sign-up checks, so that the order flow, quota increases and support tickets behave the way a settled customer expects.

This page is a long one on purpose. It explains what OVHcloud actually offers, which of the two variants on this listing fits which situation, how billing and quotas behave once you are inside, and where the sharp edges are. If a detail below does not match your plan, the fastest route is a message to our team on Telegram or WhatsApp via the contact page before you order.

What an OVHcloud account opens up

It helps to picture OVHcloud as four product universes that share one login, one billing relationship and one private backbone. An OVHcloud Account for Sale on this marketplace gives you the login; what you do with the four universes is your decision.

Public Cloud

Public Cloud is the OpenStack-based, pay-as-you-go side of OVHcloud. Inside it you create projects, and inside each project you launch instances from several families: general purpose B-series machines, CPU-optimized C-series, RAM-optimized R-series, low-cost Discovery instances for testing, storage-optimized machines with local NVMe, GPU instances for training and inference, and Metal instances that give you a whole physical host through the same OpenStack API.

Public Cloud also carries the managed services: Managed Kubernetes Service, Managed Private Registry, managed databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka and OpenSearch among them), S3-compatible Object Storage, Block Storage, Cold Archive, Load Balancer and the AI tooling (AI Notebooks, AI Training, AI Deploy and AI Endpoints).

VPS

The VPS line is simpler and monthly. You pick a plan size, a Linux distribution or a pre-installed application image, and a location, and OVHcloud hands you a KVM virtual server with a public IPv4 address, IPv6, anti-DDoS protection and optional automated backups and snapshots. Many people who Buy OVHcloud Cloud Account access actually spend most of their time in this range, because a VPS is the cheapest way to get a stable European server with a fixed monthly bill.

Bare Metal

OVHcloud's roots are in dedicated servers, and the catalogue still shows it: the Rise, Advance, Scale and High Grade ranges cover everything from an entry-level single-socket box to dual-socket machines with large NVMe arrays and 25 Gbps private networking. Dedicated servers connect to the vRack, so a bare metal database can sit on the same private network as Public Cloud instances or a Hosted Private Cloud cluster. The Eco range (including So you Start and Kimsufi) covers older generations at lower prices.

Hosted Private Cloud and Web Cloud

Hosted Private Cloud is OVHcloud's VMware-based offering: dedicated vSphere hosts and datastores that you manage through vCenter, with NSX for software-defined networking. Nutanix on OVHcloud exists for teams standardised on that stack. Web Cloud sits at the other end of the spectrum with domain registration, DNS, email and shared web hosting. When someone looks for an OVHcloud Cloud Account for Sale, the value is that these lines are not separate vendors; they share one account, one API and one set of invoices.

That combination is why an OVHcloud Account for Cloud Computing is a different proposition from a purely virtual-machine provider. You can start on hourly Public Cloud instances, move a stateful database to bare metal when it outgrows shared hardware, and keep everything on private addressing throughout.

Platform capabilities that matter to buyers

The list below is not marketing copy from OVHcloud; it is the set of capabilities that come up most often in questions from people who Buy OVHcloud Account Online through AllCloudShop and then start building.

  • OpenStack APIs on Public Cloud, so Terraform, the openstack CLI, Ansible modules and Horizon all work without vendor-specific plugins.
  • Multiple Public Cloud regions in France (Gravelines and Strasbourg), Germany (Frankfurt), the United Kingdom (London), Poland (Warsaw), Canada (Beauharnois), Singapore and Sydney, plus Local Zones in additional cities.
  • Anti-DDoS protection included on Public Cloud, VPS and dedicated servers rather than sold as an add-on.
  • vRack private networking that spans Public Cloud, Bare Metal and Hosted Private Cloud within the same account.
  • Managed Kubernetes on Public Cloud with node pools that map to the ordinary instance families, and a Harbor-based Managed Private Registry beside it.
  • S3-compatible Object Storage with standard and archive tiers, plus Block Storage volumes attachable to instances.
  • GPU instances and dedicated AI services, with the Public Cloud AI tools built around notebooks, training jobs and deployment endpoints.
  • Bare metal ranges with unmetered public bandwidth on many references, hardware RAID options and per-server IPMI or KVM access.
  • The OVHcloud API (api.ovh.com), separate from the OpenStack API, which controls account-level objects: domains, VPS orders, dedicated servers, vRack membership, billing and support tickets.
  • Per-project monthly usage alerts, vouchers and prepaid credit on Public Cloud, so spending can be bounded from day one.

Two of these deserve a comment. First, the split between the OpenStack API and the OVHcloud API surprises newcomers. Inside a Public Cloud project you authenticate as an OpenStack user and talk to Nova, Cinder and Neutron endpoints. Outside the project, to order a VPS, change DNS or open a support ticket, you use the OVHcloud API with an application key, application secret and consumer key. The Control Panel wraps both, but automation needs both sets of credentials.

Second, vRack matters more than it sounds. On many providers, private networking is a per-product feature. On OVHcloud the vRack is an account-level Layer 2 network into which you can plug Public Cloud projects, dedicated servers and Hosted Private Cloud hosts. That is how teams keep a bare metal PostgreSQL primary off the public internet while Kubernetes nodes on Public Cloud reach it over private addresses.

The two OVHcloud variants on this listing

AllCloudShop lists two versions of the OVHcloud Account for Sale here. They solve different problems, and the price gap between them reflects that. Each variant name describes exactly what the account is supplied as, no more and no less. Where a name leaves a question open, our support channels answer it before you pay.

34 vCPU Account

The 34 vCPU Account is an OVHcloud account described as carrying a 34 vCPU compute quota. In OVHcloud Public Cloud terms, a quota is the ceiling a project can reach in a given region across vCPUs, RAM, instances and volumes; a 34 vCPU quota is enough to run a meaningful mix of general purpose and CPU-optimized instances or a small Managed Kubernetes cluster with several worker nodes. The variant name states the vCPU figure and nothing else, so treat any other detail (which region the quota applies to, how RAM is provisioned) as something to confirm with support rather than assume.

Priced at $30, this is the variant for developers, small agencies and startups who want Public Cloud or VPS capacity in Europe without going through the initial ramp-up period that a brand-new project experiences. It suits staging environments, CI runners, a modest production stack behind a Load Balancer, or a learning environment for OpenStack and Kubernetes. If you plan to Buy OVHcloud Account with Credits attached, ask first: this variant is defined by its quota, not by a promotional balance.

Open Port 25 Account

The Open Port 25 Account is an OVHcloud account described as having outbound TCP port 25 open. By default, OVHcloud blocks outgoing SMTP traffic on port 25 from Public Cloud instances to limit spam abuse, and lifting that restriction is something OVHcloud handles through its own support process on a per-account basis. This variant is supplied as an account on which that state is already the case; the name says port 25 is open and nothing more, so questions about which products within the account it covers should go to our team on Telegram or WhatsApp via the contact page.

At $250, this variant exists for a narrow but real audience: teams that run their own mail transfer agent for transactional email, self-hosted mailing platforms, or applications that must deliver SMTP directly rather than through a relay service. Everyone else should buy the 34 vCPU Account and use a third-party relay on port 587. Remember that an open port is the beginning of deliverability work, not the end of it: reverse DNS, SPF, DKIM and DMARC still have to be configured, and OVHcloud's acceptable use policy on unsolicited mail still applies in full.

VariantPriceBest for
34 vCPU Account$30Developers, agencies and startups who need Public Cloud or VPS capacity in Europe with a stated 34 vCPU quota
Open Port 25 Account$250Teams running their own SMTP infrastructure who need outbound port 25 open from the start

Both variants are supplied through AllCloudShop and then operated by you under OVHcloud's terms of service. Neither listing includes hardware; the compute you deploy inside the account is billed by OVHcloud in the normal way.

Who gets the most from OVHcloud

Developers and solo builders

An OVHcloud Account for Developers earns its keep through the OpenStack API. If you already know Terraform's OpenStack provider or the openstack CLI, nothing about Public Cloud needs relearning. Hourly billing on instances means a test environment can exist for an afternoon and cost cents. The Discovery instance family is cheap enough for experiments, and snapshots let you freeze a configured server before trying something risky.

The second thing an OVHcloud Account for Developers delivers is the VPS range. A monthly VPS with a fixed price, a public IPv4, IPv6 and included anti-DDoS is a reliable home for a personal site, a Git server or a small SaaS backend. Our guide to deploying a Node.js app on a VPS applies without modification.

Businesses with European data obligations

An OVHcloud Account for Business often comes down to where the data lives and who owns the company that stores it. OVHcloud is headquartered in Roubaix, France, listed on Euronext Paris, and operates its French, German, Polish and UK regions under EU or UK jurisdiction. For organisations whose procurement or legal teams ask pointed questions about sovereignty, that ownership structure answers several of them in one line. OVHcloud also maintains qualifications on selected offers for sensitive sectors, such as HDS for health data in France and SecNumCloud on specific Hosted Private Cloud ranges; the details belong in OVHcloud's own compliance documentation rather than here.

An OVHcloud Account for Business also gets the mixed estate benefit. Finance systems can stay on dedicated hardware, customer-facing web tiers can scale on Public Cloud, and both can be joined privately through vRack. Read more on this in our article on data residency and sovereignty.

Startups

An OVHcloud Account for Startups is attractive because the cost curve is gentle. You can begin on a single VPS, move to Public Cloud when you need autoscaling or Kubernetes, and rent bare metal when a database needs dedicated IOPS, all without changing vendors. OVHcloud runs a Startup Program that offers credits and support to eligible young companies; eligibility and amounts are set by OVHcloud and change over time, so check the current terms directly. Our overview of startup credit programs puts it in context beside the hyperscaler equivalents.

Agencies and multi-client hosting

Agencies like OVHcloud because a single account can hold many Public Cloud projects, each with its own billing line, plus a fleet of VPS instances and a dedicated server or two. Projects make client separation clean, and per-project usage alerts stop one client's traffic spike from surprising you at month end.

AI and research teams

An OVHcloud Account for AI Development gives access to GPU instances on Public Cloud and to the AI Notebooks, AI Training and AI Deploy services layered on top. Teams that want raw GPUs launch instances with NVIDIA accelerators and manage the software stack themselves; teams that want a job-based workflow submit training runs and deploy models as endpoints without touching the underlying host. Data can sit in Object Storage in the same region as the GPUs, which keeps transfer costs and latency down.

Finally, an OVHcloud Account for Projects with unusual shapes, such as a game server fleet that needs the Game dedicated range, a media archive that needs Cold Archive, or a VMware estate that needs Hosted Private Cloud, fits OVHcloud better than most developer clouds because those products all exist under one roof.

Your first hour inside the account

Once your OVHcloud Virtual Machine Account details arrive, work through the steps below in order. They are drawn from how OVHcloud actually behaves rather than from a generic cloud checklist.

  1. Sign in to the OVHcloud Control Panel and review the identity. Confirm the contact details, enable two-factor authentication under the security settings, and note the customer identifier (the NIC handle) because support and the API refer to it.
  2. Open the Public Cloud section and locate the project. A Public Cloud project is the container for instances, volumes, Object Storage containers and Kubernetes clusters. Each project has its own billing, its own OpenStack users and its own quotas.
  3. Check Quota and Regions. The Control Panel shows, per region, the vCPU, RAM, instance and volume ceilings. For the 34 vCPU Account this is where you confirm the stated quota. The same page is where activation of additional regions happens.
  4. Set a monthly usage alert. Under the project's billing settings you can define a monthly spend threshold; OVHcloud emails you when usage crosses it. Do this before launching anything. Our article on cost monitoring and budget alerts explains why this matters on hourly platforms.
  5. Create an OpenStack user and download the RC file. Under Users and Roles, create a user with the roles you need (Compute Operator, ObjectStore Operator and so on). Download the OpenStack RC file, source it in a shell, and run openstack image list to confirm access.
  6. Add an SSH key. Keys uploaded in the Control Panel or via openstack keypair create are injected into new instances. Never rely on password logins.
  7. Launch a first instance. Pick a small general purpose or Discovery flavor, a Debian or Ubuntu image, the region closest to your users, and hourly billing. Through the CLI that is a single openstack server create call with the flavor, image, network and key name.
  8. Create OVHcloud API credentials if you will automate outside OpenStack. Generate an application key and secret, then a consumer key with the rights you need, at the API console. This is what Terraform's ovh provider and the OVHcloud Python and Go clients use.

Regions, zones and what to pick

OVHcloud's Public Cloud regions carry short codes: GRA for Gravelines, SBG for Strasbourg, DE for Frankfurt, UK for London, WAW for Warsaw, BHS for Beauharnois, SGP for Singapore and SYD for Sydney, often with a numeric suffix such as GRA11 identifying the specific site. Not every region offers every instance family or every managed service, so check availability for GPUs, Managed Kubernetes and managed databases before you commit to a location. Local Zones extend the footprint to more cities with a smaller product set. Our explainer on regions and availability zones covers the general reasoning.

IAM basics on OVHcloud

OVHcloud has two overlapping identity layers. OpenStack users live inside a Public Cloud project and control resources there. OVHcloud IAM lives at the account level and controls who can do what in the Control Panel and the OVHcloud API across all products, using identities, policies and resource groups. For a small team, a sensible baseline is one account owner with two-factor authentication, one IAM identity per person with a policy scoped to the products they touch, and one OpenStack user per automation pipeline. The broader principles are covered in our article on cloud IAM fundamentals.

A first deployment worth doing

A good exercise for a new OVHcloud Account for Projects is a two-tier stack: one instance running Nginx and your application, one Block Storage volume attached for persistent data, and an Object Storage container for backups. Add a private network inside the project, attach the instance to it, and note that private networks in Public Cloud are backed by vRack. Snapshot the instance when it is working. That small exercise touches Nova, Cinder, Neutron and Swift-compatible storage in one afternoon and leaves you with a template you can reuse.

Public Cloud instances, VPS and Bare Metal compared

People who Buy OVHcloud Cloud Account access sometimes assume all three compute lines are variations on the same thing. They are not, and choosing the wrong one is the most common early mistake. The table sets out the practical differences.

Choosing a Public Cloud flavor

Within Public Cloud, the flavor families follow a pattern. B-series general purpose instances balance vCPU and RAM and suit web servers and application tiers. C-series CPU-optimized flavors give more vCPU per gigabyte of RAM, which fits build agents and compute-heavy APIs. R-series RAM-optimized flavors do the opposite for caches and in-memory databases. Discovery flavors are deliberately small and cheap for experiments. Storage-optimized and Metal instances exist for IO-bound and dedicated-host needs. When a team wants to Buy OVHcloud VPS Account capacity but describes a workload that needs to scale in and out, the honest answer is usually a Public Cloud project instead.

When VPS is the right call

A VPS is right when the workload is one server that will run continuously, the budget needs to be fixed, and you do not need the OpenStack API. OVHcloud VPS plans come with a choice of data center locations, include anti-DDoS, and offer automated backup and snapshot options. Because the bill is monthly and prepaid, a VPS is the friendliest product for buyers who Buy OVHcloud VPS Account access with a firm monthly budget in mind. Our shared hosting to cloud server guide describes the typical first VPS workload.

When Bare Metal wins

An OVHcloud Dedicated Server Account, meaning an OVHcloud account used mainly to hold dedicated servers, makes sense once a workload cares about consistent disk latency, wants a fixed amount of unshared CPU, or needs to run its own hypervisor. Proxmox on an Advance or Scale server, a large PostgreSQL primary with NVMe RAID, or a Minecraft or FiveM fleet on the Game range are typical. Dedicated servers are ordered per unit with a lead time that depends on stock, and they can join the vRack so that Public Cloud instances reach them privately. For a deeper treatment see dedicated servers versus cloud VMs.

An OVHcloud Virtual Machine Account used for Public Cloud and a dedicated server on the same login are not competing choices. The strongest OVHcloud architectures use both.

European data centers and the sovereignty argument

OVHcloud's story is inseparable from its physical footprint. The company owns and operates its main sites rather than leasing space, and its largest campuses are in Roubaix, Gravelines and Strasbourg in France, with further European sites in Frankfurt, London and Warsaw. Beauharnois near Montreal serves North America, and OVHcloud US operates separately for the United States market. Singapore and Sydney cover Asia-Pacific.

Two engineering choices distinguish these sites. OVHcloud builds its own servers on a production line in Croix, near Roubaix, and it water-cools the processors directly, which reduces the need for air conditioning and is part of how it keeps prices low. Both choices also mean the supply chain is largely under OVHcloud's own control, which matters to customers whose regulators ask about it.

What sovereignty means in practice

Sovereignty is not a checkbox on a form; it is a set of answers to questions your legal or compliance team will ask. Where is the data stored? In the region you chose, in a facility OVHcloud owns. Who owns the company? A French-listed group with no non-European parent. Which laws apply to a subpoena? EU and French law for the European regions, and OVHcloud publishes its position on extraterritorial requests.

Which offers carry sector qualifications? Specific ones, documented by OVHcloud, including HDS for French health data and SecNumCloud on designated Hosted Private Cloud products. Our article on cloud compliance basics explains how to read those qualifications.

Region selection tips

For a European audience, Gravelines and Strasbourg are the default choices because they have the widest product catalogue and the most instance families. Frankfurt and Warsaw are good picks for German or Central European latency. London suits UK-resident data. If GPUs or specific managed databases are the priority, check the per-region availability first; the newest hardware tends to arrive in the French regions before it spreads.

Billing, credits and keeping the invoice predictable

OVHcloud bills its product lines differently, and understanding the pattern prevents most surprises. The buyer who wants to Buy OVHcloud Account with Credits should also understand where those credits can and cannot be spent.

How Public Cloud invoices work

Each Public Cloud project accrues usage through the month: instance hours, volume gigabyte-months, Object Storage capacity and outbound transfer, Kubernetes node hours, managed database hours. OVHcloud invoices the project at the start of the following month for the previous month's consumption. Instances can be switched to monthly billing for a discount when you know they will run all month; the switch applies from the date you make it. Because invoicing is in arrears, the usage alert described in the set-up section is your early warning system.

How VPS and Bare Metal invoices work

VPS and dedicated servers are prepaid. You pay for the coming month (or a longer commitment period at a lower monthly rate), and the service renews on its anniversary. Automatic renewal can be enabled or disabled per service in the Control Panel; disable it on anything you consider temporary. Dedicated servers may carry a one-off setup fee that OVHcloud waives on longer commitments.

Credits, vouchers and prepaid balances

An OVHcloud Credits Account, in the sense buyers use the phrase, is an account holding a promotional or prepaid balance that OVHcloud applies to Public Cloud usage before charging the payment method. Credits arrive through vouchers entered on a project, through OVHcloud programs such as the Startup Program, or through prepaid top-ups. Two rules matter.

Credits usually attach to Public Cloud projects, not to VPS or dedicated servers. And promotional credits carry expiry dates and sometimes product restrictions set by OVHcloud. If you plan to Buy OVHcloud Credits Account access, ask our team what balance, if any, is present and how it was granted; the listing on this page is defined by quota and by port 25 status, not by a balance.

Buyers who Buy OVHcloud Account with Credits also ask whether credits cover Managed Kubernetes and GPU instances. As a rule, anything billed through a Public Cloud project draws on that project's balance, but a specific voucher can be restricted. Our article on understanding cloud credits covers the general mechanics.

Free trials and promotional periods

OVHcloud has historically offered new Public Cloud projects a promotional credit valid for a limited period, and the terms change. A request to Buy OVHcloud Free Trial Account access should therefore be read as a request for an account whose project is still within a promotional window, and the size and expiry of that window are facts to confirm at the time of purchase rather than assume from an old blog post. The distinction between trials and normal billing is covered in free trial versus pay-as-you-go.

Bandwidth and traffic

Public Cloud instances include a generous outbound allowance in most regions, with some Asia-Pacific and North American regions metering traffic differently. Dedicated servers in the main ranges carry unmetered public bandwidth at a stated port speed, and the vRack connection is billed separately on some references. Read the per-product page for your region rather than assuming the French pricing applies everywhere. If you Buy OVHcloud Credits Account access for a traffic-heavy workload, the transfer line is the one to watch first.

Migrating an existing workload to OVHcloud

Moving into OVHcloud is straightforward when the target is Public Cloud, because OpenStack images and volumes are portable formats. Moving onto a VPS or a dedicated server is a classic server migration. The notes below cover the three common source situations.

From another OpenStack or VM-based cloud

Export the source VM as a QCOW2 or raw image, upload it with openstack image create, and launch an instance from it. Data volumes can be transferred with rsync over SSH or, for large datasets, via Object Storage using any S3 client. Recreate security groups (OVHcloud calls them security groups too, following OpenStack) before switching DNS. Our step-by-step piece on moving between cloud providers without downtime applies directly.

From a hyperscaler

The main work is replacing managed services. RDS or Cloud SQL maps to OVHcloud managed databases; S3 maps to Object Storage with the same client libraries; EKS or GKE maps to Managed Kubernetes Service; Lambda-style functions have no direct OVHcloud equivalent and usually become containers on Kubernetes or small instances. Budget time for IAM, because the OVHcloud model is simpler and you will collapse many fine-grained roles into a few policies. Egress from the hyperscaler is generally the largest cost line of the migration; see egress costs.

From shared or dedicated hosting

Teams leaving a cPanel host onto an OVHcloud VPS or an OVHcloud Dedicated Server Account should first decide whether to reproduce the panel or run bare Linux. OVHcloud offers Plesk and cPanel licences on VPS and dedicated servers for those who want a panel. Otherwise, install Nginx or Apache, PHP or your runtime, a database, and Let's Encrypt, then move sites one at a time with lowered DNS TTLs. Our WordPress migration guide is the most requested version of this.

Rollback and testing

Snapshot the Public Cloud instance or VPS before each cutover step. Keep the source system running for a full billing cycle after the switch. Test outbound email early, because port 25 is blocked on Public Cloud by default and your application may silently queue messages; if that is a hard requirement, it is exactly what the Open Port 25 Account variant is for.

Mistakes new OVHcloud users make

These come from support conversations with people who bought through AllCloudShop, and from OVHcloud's own community forums. None of them are fatal, but each costs time or money.

  • Confusing the two APIs. Trying to create an instance through the OVHcloud API, or order a VPS through OpenStack, both fail. Public Cloud resources are OpenStack; everything else is the OVHcloud API.
  • Ignoring quotas until deployment day. The Quota and Regions page tells you the vCPU and RAM ceiling per region. Check it before you promise a launch date. Our article on vCPU limits and service quotas explains why every cloud has these ceilings.
  • Leaving hourly instances running. Hourly billing is convenient and expensive when forgotten. Switch long-running instances to monthly, and destroy test instances instead of just stopping them, because stopped instances still hold their disk and, on OVHcloud, continue to be billed unless shelved.
  • Assuming port 25 works. It does not on Public Cloud by default. Use a relay on port 587 or buy the variant that addresses it. Background reading: port 25 and outbound email.
  • Skipping automatic renewal settings. A VPS or dedicated server on automatic renewal charges the payment method on schedule. Review renewal status on everything you did not intend to keep.
  • Placing backups in the same region. Regional Object Storage in the same site as the instances it protects is not a disaster recovery plan.
  • Exposing OpenStack credentials. The RC file contains a password. Treat it like an API key, keep it out of repositories, and rotate the OpenStack user if it leaks. See managing API keys and secrets.
  • Choosing a region for its name. GPUs, some database engines and Local Zones have limited availability. Confirm the catalogue for the region before designing around it.

How OVHcloud sits beside its neighbours

Three comparisons come up constantly when people weigh OVHcloud Accounts for Sale against alternatives, and our Cloud Matrix pages cover each in depth.

OVHcloud and Hetzner

Both are European, both own their data centers, both are cheap. Hetzner is narrower: excellent cloud servers and dedicated boxes, few managed services, locations in Germany, Finland, the US and Singapore. OVHcloud has more regions, a VMware line, managed databases and Kubernetes, and a much larger dedicated catalogue, at the cost of a more complex Control Panel. The Hetzner versus OVHcloud comparison lays out where each wins, and the Hetzner account listing is the natural alternative if simplicity matters more than breadth.

OVHcloud and Scaleway

Two French clouds with different personalities. Scaleway is cloud-native first: Kubernetes Kapsule, serverless functions and containers, a modern console and the scw CLI, with regions in Paris, Amsterdam and Warsaw. OVHcloud is broader and more infrastructure-heavy, with more regions and a dedicated server heritage that Scaleway matches only through Elastic Metal and Dedibox. Read OVHcloud versus Scaleway, or look at the Scaleway account page if your workload is containers first.

OVHcloud and Contabo

Contabo sells large-spec VPS bundles at very low monthly prices and little else. OVHcloud's VPS line is comparable at the low end, but the moment you need object storage, Kubernetes, a vRack or a GPU, Contabo has no answer. See OVHcloud versus Contabo.

In short, someone comparing OVHcloud Accounts for Sale with these alternatives should ask one question: will the workload stay a handful of servers, or will it need managed services and private networking across product lines? The first answer points toward Hetzner or Contabo. The second points to an OVHcloud Account for Cloud Computing in the fuller sense, which is what this listing supplies. And if the deciding factor is an OVHcloud Cloud Account for Sale with a specific stated quota rather than a generic developer cloud, the 34 vCPU Account variant is the one to look at.

How ordering through AllCloudShop works

AllCloudShop is a marketplace. We supply the account; OVHcloud supplies the infrastructure and the terms under which it runs. Here is what happens when you Buy OVHcloud Account Online from this page.

  1. Choose the variant, add it to the cart and complete checkout.
  2. Our team prepares the access details for the variant you chose and sends them through the contact method you provided at checkout.
  3. You sign in, review the account, enable two-factor authentication and update the recovery details so that the account is fully under your control.
  4. From that point on you operate the account as its owner, subject to OVHcloud's terms of service, acceptable use policy and billing rules.

If you have a question that the variant name does not answer, for example which region a quota is enabled in, or which product lines the port 25 state applies to, ask on Telegram or WhatsApp via the contact page before you pay. We would rather answer a question than process a refund request.

What "verified" means on this page

When buyers say they want to Buy Verified OVHcloud Account access, they mean an account that has completed OVHcloud's standard sign-up process, including the identity and payment checks OVHcloud applies to every new customer. That is a description of the account's history, not a promise from AllCloudShop about how OVHcloud will treat it in future. OVHcloud can and does review accounts, and continued good standing depends on how the account is operated after handover.

Anyone who wants to Buy Verified OVHcloud Account access for a workload with strict compliance needs should also plan to complete OVHcloud's own procedures for those needs, such as signing the relevant data processing terms, which no marketplace can do on a customer's behalf. Support questions about the OVHcloud platform itself belong with OVHcloud; questions about the order belong with us, and our marketplace FAQ covers the common ones.

OVHcloud account questions, answered

Is the OVHcloud Public Cloud really OpenStack, and can I use standard tooling?

Yes. OVHcloud Public Cloud exposes native OpenStack endpoints for compute, block storage, networking, images and Swift-compatible object storage. The Horizon web interface, the openstack CLI, Terraform's OpenStack provider and Ansible's OpenStack collection all work. You authenticate with an OpenStack user created inside the project, using the RC file OVHcloud generates for that user.

What exactly does the 34 vCPU Account give me?

It is an account described as carrying a 34 vCPU compute quota. Quotas on OVHcloud Public Cloud are set per project and per region and cap the vCPUs, RAM, instances and volumes you can hold at once. The name states the vCPU figure only. For the region, the RAM figure or any other specific, message our team on Telegram or WhatsApp through the contact page before ordering.

Why does the Open Port 25 Account cost so much more?

Because outbound port 25 is blocked by default on OVHcloud Public Cloud and opening it is handled by OVHcloud on a per-account basis with anti-abuse considerations in mind. An account already in that state is rare and useful to a small set of buyers running their own mail infrastructure. If you do not run an MTA, buy the 34 vCPU Account and send mail through a relay on port 587 instead.

Can I Buy OVHcloud Cloud Account access and use it for VPS and dedicated servers too?

Yes. The OVHcloud customer account is the umbrella; Public Cloud projects, VPS instances, dedicated servers, Hosted Private Cloud and Web Cloud products all hang from it. Ordering a VPS or a dedicated server is a separate purchase from OVHcloud, billed monthly and prepaid, and it appears in the same Control Panel as the Public Cloud project.

Does the OVHcloud Account for Sale here come with a credit balance?

Not as part of the variant definition. The two variants are defined by a stated vCPU quota and by port 25 status. Promotional credits on OVHcloud attach to Public Cloud projects and carry expiry dates set by OVHcloud. If a balance matters to your decision, ask our team what is present at the time of purchase rather than assuming one.

Which OVHcloud regions should a European startup pick first?

Gravelines and Strasbourg carry the widest catalogue and receive new instance families first, so they are the safe default for an OVHcloud Account for Startups serving a France-based or pan-European audience. Frankfurt and Warsaw suit Central European latency, and London suits UK data. Check GPU, managed database and Kubernetes availability per region before you design around a location, because not everything is offered everywhere.

How do usage alerts and billing work on Public Cloud?

Each project accrues hourly usage and is invoiced at the start of the next month. In the project's billing settings you can define a monthly amount at which OVHcloud sends an email alert. Set it low at first. Switching an instance to monthly billing lowers the rate for machines you know will run continuously, and shelving or deleting unused instances stops their charges.

What is vRack and do I need it?

vRack is OVHcloud's account-level private network. Public Cloud projects, eligible dedicated servers and Hosted Private Cloud hosts can be attached to it so they talk over private addresses without crossing the public internet. A single VPS does not need it. A design with a dedicated database server and Public Cloud application instances almost certainly does.

Is a Buy OVHcloud Free Trial Account request the same as buying a credits account?

Not quite. A trial refers to an account whose Public Cloud project is still inside a promotional period OVHcloud grants to new projects, with a credit that expires. A credits account more generally holds any prepaid or promotional balance. Both depend on OVHcloud's current terms, which change, so confirm the situation with our team when you order rather than relying on older information.

Can I run GPU workloads and use the AI services immediately?

On an OVHcloud Account for AI Development, GPU instances draw on a separate GPU quota in each Public Cloud region, and availability varies by site. AI Notebooks, AI Training and AI Deploy are enabled per project through the Control Panel. Check the region's GPU catalogue and your project's GPU quota before scheduling training runs, and keep datasets in Object Storage within the same region to avoid unnecessary transfer.

What happens if I want to Buy OVHcloud Account Online for a client project and later hand it over?

Plan for it from the start: create a separate Public Cloud project per client so its resources and billing are isolated, and use OVHcloud IAM identities rather than sharing the owner login. OVHcloud has its own procedures for changing the contact and ownership details on an account, which you would follow directly with OVHcloud at the time of handover.

How is Hosted Private Cloud different from Public Cloud?

Hosted Private Cloud gives you dedicated VMware vSphere hosts and datastores managed through vCenter, with NSX networking, so you run your own VMs on hardware nobody else shares. Public Cloud is multi-tenant OpenStack billed by the hour. Teams with existing VMware skills or licensing constraints choose the former; everyone else usually starts with the latter.

What support does OVHcloud provide to an ordinary account?

OVHcloud offers tiered support plans, from a standard level included with every account to paid levels with faster response and named contacts. Tickets are opened from the Control Panel or through the OVHcloud API. Community forums and the documentation site cover most how-to questions. Questions about your AllCloudShop order, rather than the platform, go to our team via the contact page.
